DKRW initiated the LNG project development in Puerto Libertad, Sonora, Mexico in 2003 by identifying the project site, purchasing the property and raising development capital to engineer and begin site permitting. The Partners at DKRW managed the development of project from inception through to 2018 when new capital helped form Mexico Pacific Limited, LLC and brought new management to advance the project.
Vermilion Partners LLC is focused on the development and financing of its ownership interest in Mexico Pacific Limited LLC, ("MPL"). MPL is actively developing energy related projects on a large, strategically located industrial property at Puerto Libertad on the west coast of Sonora, Mexico.
Vermilion is seeking investment partners capable of sustained investment in an anticipated series of project opportunities on the MPL property.
As a first project, MPL is in late stage development of a first phase of a planned multi-phase liquefied natural gas ("LNG") facility. The Pacific Coast location of this liquefaction facility will have substantial cost and logistical advantages versus US Gulf of Mexico LNG facilities competing to serve Asian markets in the Pacific Basin. MPL is permitted for up to 12 MTPA of LNG and in its first phase targets initial construction of 4 MTPA using modular LNG technology.
